Another 365 days have passed. The planet Earth has revolved around the sun once more without incident. But there have been incidents in the lives of the inhabitants of Earth. And this particular inhabitant had a revolution around the sun that was full of change and relative upheaval. I quit a part-time job, lost a full-time job and got another full-time job. I moved from living with an amazing roommate to living alone. I ended some relationships, rekindled others and made new friends as well. I met a brand new member of my family just a couple of weeks ago, when she was born.
Lots happened in the last revolution. And I still feel like I am reeling. But the world keeps revolving and so must I.
So here are some of my resolutions for the new revolution:
1.) I will read all the books that I have not yet read on both the Board’s and the Reader’s lists of the 100 Best Novels according to Modern Library. The lists can be found here: http://www.modernlibrary.com/top-100/100-best-novels/
2.) I will cook a signature dish from all the countries in Yakko’s Countries of the World… Here are the lyrics: http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/a/animaniacs8676/nationsoftheworld491365.html
3.) I will go to at least one place I have never been, outside of the state of Illinois.
4.) I will learn to walk in heels (ugh).
And finally, 5.) I will write something every day. I am not saying I will post it, but I will be writing a little something, every single day. On my honor.
Of course, I will be doing all the other things people do, like trying to get in shape, fix the health, give up a vice (in my case, diet pop) etc., etc… But these other things will be more fun I think. Except for the heels (ugh)…
Anyone else doing anything interesting for the new revolution?
